Crowning Affair Birthday Card

Whilst I was on holiday in Lanzarote, I was struck by the beautiful colours of the flowers and plants there in contrast to the browns of the volcanic landscape.

As soon as I got home, I was eager to create a card using these colours and found that the Trimcraft Dovecraft Crowning Affair paper pad was perfect. I combined my chosen papers with a kraft card blank and rounded the corners.

I deliberately kept the card simple- all I have added is a ribbon, a sentiment and a flower die cut from the paper pad with a large gem in the centre.

Products used:
Trimcraft Dovecraft Crowning Affair 6 x 6 Paper Pad
First Edition Flower Die
Trimcraft Dovecraft Bohemian Adhesive Gems, 6x6 Kraft Card Blank
Ribbon from stash

Belle and Boo Birthday Card

First of all I have some very exciting news- my Pirate Shutter Card was named as project of the month on the Trimcraft website. You can read about it hereTrimcraft project of the month for April. This is especially exciting as I love Trimcraft products, particularly  Belle and Boo, and have already received a fantastic prize to make more lovely projects with.

Today's card is more Belle and Boo but this time it's a little girl's birthday card. I wanted the focus of the card to be the image and the fab papers but also wanted to add some pretty embellishments. I did this by die cutting and layering some flowers and adding lace and ribbon. I have also used a distress ink pad to add a slightly shabby chic look, which is a departure from my usual clean lines.

Products used:
Trimcraft Belle and Boo 6x6 paper pad, Decoupage pad, Ribbon
Trimcraft Sweet Paris Pearls
Docrafts Lace Trim
Trimcraft First Edition Flower Dies

Owl birthday card

This beautiful card has been made using the Lelli-Bot Crafts Twit Twoo collection. The topper, sentiment and papers are all from this fabulous collection. One of my favourite things, apart from the fantastic images, is that the toppers are fully die cut and separate, so no struggling to get them out of the card.
The papers are 6" x 6", so to fit my A5 card blank I cut my chosen background paper in half and used a strip of coordinating paper across the middle. The flowers are punched from the same paper and finished with gems.
I love the finished card- it was snapped up straightaway by a customer, who has ordered more.
Products used:
