Only words...

Hi everyone. Another scheduled post as we are still away.

Yesterday was Valentine's Day and so I'm sharing this card I made for my husband:

I made the card base and cut all the embellishments using my Scan n Cut which I finally got repaired last week after 3 months. I can't blame the Customer Services- I was very slow to send it off, which I think is mainly due to the fact I never really got to grips with the machine. However over the last two weeks I've made an effort to watch YouTube videos and a Mel Heaton DVD and now feel much more confident using it.

I made the card base from Hunkydory pearlescent Adorable Scorable by 'welding' the letters to two rectangles. I have even saved the pattern to my machine to save guess work if I use it again!

The papers I have used are Crafter's Companion Sara Davies Love and Romance papers and I have used HD Mirri card from the 50 Shades Darker range for the letters. The words are cut from Adorable Scorable and come from the patterns on my Scan n Cut.

Thank you for visiting today x

  7. This looks fantastic Cathy - how clever you are to make it - and I guess now you'll be able to use the same technique for loads of other words too.
