In the pink

Hi everyone. I feel a little run down at the moment- it is exam time for my college students who are retaking GCSE maths and English and the pressure is on! It is hard not to feel the stress as many of them have worked so hard towards the exams (and there are some who haven't too). Next week is my last full week of teaching at the college I have worked at for 12 years- then there will be 4 weeks after half term of admin and desk clearing before I leave for self-employment.

All of this might explain why my crafty motivation has deserted me a little- but I did manage to get a few cards done last week so here is one that I really like.

I have used some very pretty Craftwork Cards papers and flowers from the Rosa pad for this one. The edges of the paper have been gently distressed using scissors and inked with Victorian Velvet distress ink. This is still my favourite distress ink colour- do any of you have favourites?

The topper is also Craftwork Cards- from their Floral Prints set. I distressed the edges of this too. The flowers have been shaped and distressed before adding to the card, then finished with some Candi.

I will be catching up with everyone's blogs later. Thank you for visiting today and for all of your lovely comments x

  7. Love the pinks and the hearts. Beautiful design. Concentrate on the positives in your life and the rest will follow. Your tutoring has really taken off and so although it feels like an end of an era in some respects it's the start of a new adventure. I wish you happiness in all that you do Cathy xxx

Fingers crossed for the success for your students and your own new endeavours
